The older African American lady closing the store tonight, thought it was funny to tell me “your going to get beat up and thrown out, taking so long” and I looked at her and said “oh yeah? Sounds like that’s going to be a nice lawsuit “ she looked at the heavier set Hispanic lady and said “oh she thinks I’m kidding, we will all jump you and throw you out together, that’s not a joke” I walked away and ignored her, as I will be calling and corporate, the district manager, the corporate manager, and the regional manager. I’ve never been so boldly threatened by a employee of a organization!
the prices are annoying. they’ve raised the prices to be similar, if not more expensive, than reselling apps like Depop/Poshmark/Facebook Marketplace… They get these items for free and are almost all profit yet they are still charging a ridiculous price. I’ve been to larger cities who have prices that are similar to here.. I tried to buy a small pack of art posters and the manager told me I needed to buy the entire pack - which consisted of 9 packs of the same posters for $10.99?!?! This is South Bend… not a major city where people can afford high prices. Cater to the people in the community
Okay, so the business aspect does need a good renovation.
But the items are what they are donated items resold to pay for the patronage of other programs Goodwill has.
However, I have noted that prices have gone up more, and at times, the items are not really worth it.
My favorite store for Good stuffs! Will come back again.
Waited in line 45 min get to the front 1 person in front of me ans the register breaks. So then I had to go to the back of the next line amd wait for another 39 min.. good will gets plenty of donations and the big wigs .are plenty of cash get better registers..
On my first visit there, I was very pleased. I happen to go on a day when they were having an e-mail sale and the woman checking me out made sure I got signed up for their rewards program and received the discount (which ended up being more than $50.00 in savings (I was beginning a new wardrobe). The place is clean and nice and the clothes well organized. The staff is very helpful and kind. I've thoroughly enjoyed each of my subsequent returns to this location.

I was there with friends one of whom was ninety three years young....the customer service was amazing, the elderly often are finicky and as such I was standing around a long while, and although the cashier had to deal with a few folks offering snide remarks and, overall having nasty attitudes she maintained a friendly attitude with every one behind them in line...including helping a ninety three year old with obtaining his lost card through technical difficulties. In a world seemingly without patience in the year 2021 this is a rare gem. On this particular visit I not only had a pleasant experience it was like a breath of fresh air. Thank you
